On Sunday, September 7, 2008, across Europe, communities will celebrate the 9th edition of the European Day of Jewish Culture. The focus of this year's programs will be "Music." The public is invited to discover the place of song and music in Judaism, the cultural diversity of Jewish music, and the Jewish contribution to music. Programs will be presented in Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.
